is currently seeking photographs for publication in the text. Photographs
related to all aspects of disaster work are needed. Please submit photos for

CALL FOR AUTHORS

Prehospital and Disaster Medicine is planning to publish a semi-annual disaster nursing supplement beginning in Spring 2008. The purpose of this supplement is to provide a forum for disaster nursing research that disseminates the information globally and creates a knowledge database that qualifies and enhances the healthcare provided by nurses in a variety of roles and settings throughout all phases of a disaster. The intent is not to separate the field of disaster nursing from other disciplines, but, rather, to highlight it. To this end, through the addition of the disaster nursing supplement, PDM seeks to actively encourage and cultivate evidence-based qualitative and quantitative disaster nursing research worldwide.

All WADEM nurse members are encouraged to consider submitting relevant disaster research manuscripts for publication in this exciting, new supplement. And, please, pass this request on to your research colleagues!!

Submissions for the semi-annual disaster nursing supplement should be sent to the supplement editor, Robert Powers, at rpowers@disasternursing.org. All submissions should follow PDM’s standard author guidelines.
